Kalup pipe factory was established in 1982 in Kaveh industrial city in Saveh County with cooperation of the Japanese company of KUSAKABE. The aim of Kalup Company is producing steel water, oil and gas pipes by the use of ERW with diameters of 6-8-10-12-12 inches and thickness of 4 to 10mm in an area of 32,000 square meters and infrastructure of around 23,000 square meters.

The productions of this company was firstly used in water supply industries and along with this, a percentage of productions of this company was exported to the European countries such as Germany and Austria. But with the increasing demand of oil & gas industries in Iran for pipes with API standard, after consultation with domestic and international experts, Kalup Company run the project of developing its factories for increasing the quality and quantity of productions and providing the needs of oil and gas industries. In this project the modern technologies of preparing rolls, welding, annealing and also different tests such as hydro-test, ultrasonic test and other physical, chemical tests, process control and completely equipped labs were used. All devices and equipment of development project were purchased from reputable companies of the world. Currently, this company is capable of producing steel pipes up to grade X70 and thickness of 4 to 10mm with capacity of 240,000 tons per year.
